Frequently Asked Questions
What measures are we taking during covid-19?
Continued health & safety practices are being adhered to making sure cakes are baked in clean work spaces. We are making sure our hands are regularly washed. Our workshop is equipped with sanitizers, gloves & masks.
How do I order?
How far in advance should I book?
While we try to accommodate late bookings it is not always possible so please book 2 weeks in advance. With wedding cakes please give us at least 3 months notice.
Can you cater for dietary restrictions?
We can do dairy and egg free cakes.
It is very important for our customers to know that kitchen handles the following: dairy, nuts, peanuts, gluten (wheat), egg, sesame, sulphites and soya.
If you have a serious allergy to any of these allergens, or one which could cause you to have a major reaction, sadly the only way to be 100% safe is not to consume any of these products.
Please note we do use the same baking utensils to make all our cakes.
Can I send a photo of a cake I like?
Yes that is fine, however we will not copy exactly and will make slight changes to the design.
Where should I put the cake to transport it home?
Always place your cakes on a flat surface for example in your boot (make sure your cake has no space to move around, try and surround with cushioned objects). If the cake is not too heavy then it can be placed on a passengers lap.
We hold no liability if there are any damages to your cake once it leaves our workshop.
Do we deliver?
Yes we deliver in the London area and our prices are based on location. We also charge a fee for setting up. You may also collect from the Wembley Area.
Where should I keep my cake?
Always store our cakes in a cool place away from direct sun light or radiators. Cakes covered in buttercream or fresh cream can be stored in the fridge. When you wish to eat the cake do take it out 1-2hrs before so it can reach room temperature.
Cakes that are covered in icing we recommend you do not store in the fridge as once you take it out and it gets to room temperature the icing will become wet and sticky.
How long will my cake last?
If it is not consumed on the same day we usually say our cakes can last up to 5 days. With our cupcakes they keep fresh for up to 3 days after delivery.
How much are your wedding cakes?
The price of wedding cakes will vary depending on design, flavour and how many portions. All our wedding cakes are customised so please send us your ideas and we can provide a quotation.
Do you do wedding consultations?
Yes we do wedding consultations with you and your partner it gives us a chance to get to know you both and discuss any ideas that you may have. You also have an opportunity to try 3 cake flavours of your choice. We do charge £30 for our consultations. To book a consultation simply just send us an email or call.
Can I use fresh flowers?
We do not provide fresh flowers, but are more than happy to use fresh flowers from your chosen florist or our recommend florist. If flowers are provided please acknowledge that fresh flowers are not a food product and may contain pesticides, insects, dirt, or other contaminants. So please make sure they are suitable to decorate this cake.
How do I pay?
We accept cash or bank transfer. To secure a booking we ask that half of the payment (non refundable) is made in advance. Regarding wedding cakes the final balance will need to be paid a month before your wedding. Any other cakes the final balance will need to be made 3 days before delivery/collection.
